The phrase “More will be revealed” isn’t actually found in the “Big Book” but is oft-repeated as if it were. The original line paraphrased reads “Our book is meant to be suggestive only. We realize we know only a little, God will constantly disclose more to you and to us.”
So “More will be revealed” gradually became an informal shorthand. This blog is an attempt to broaden a discussion based on the principles as enumerated in both the Big Book of Alcoholics Anonymous and its companion Twelve Steps and Twelve Traditions published some 14 years later.
As it should be, the main focus of most AA meetings is on the Newcomer, often described as the lifeblood of AA. But that often singular focus puts a damper on the problems of people with more mature sobriety who may feel that they are superimposing their issues on the group discussion. A common refrain is that “……this is an AA meeting, let’s talk about AA”
So this blog hopes to allow for that suppressed conversation to blossom. But in doing so by not violating any of the principles or undermining the considerable bedrock the existing AA approved literature represents to us and to the maintenance of our sobriety.
So each Blog starts out quoting AA literature (most often the Big Book and 12 and 12) and then expands the discussion from there.
